Ablution

Not sure why 'purify' is highlighted here, unless it's because 'purification' is highlighted in Wikipedia as it carries a hyperlink. Surely the essential word in the answer is 'washing'?

This is in fact what 'ablution' means in any context (often used in the phrase "doing one's ablutions").
